Ringworm

Ringworm is a fungal disease on the skin of the body or head . Fungal infections are caused by fungi called dermatophytes. Dermatophytes tend to infect moist parts of the body. The affected area is usually sore and itchy. This is due to susceptibility to fungi or secondary infections caused by bacteria. In more serious cases, ringworm causes an acute infection with severe inflammation on the scalp or painful blisters on the legs.
Symptoms of ringworm are itching and scaly , round rashes . The skin itself becomes dry and scaly. As for ringworm on the head, it starts with small pimples that increase in size. It is most commonly transmitted through contact with infected animals (dogs and cats), using a contaminated comb or clothing, or touching surfaces that have been contaminated with the fungus. If these skin conditions are not treated, they spread and become chronic. On contact, it can be passed on to other people and infect them.
